Half lanyards: Eliminate the weight, eliminate the tangle
All lanyards go around your neck. They get caught up in sunglass straps, hydration systems, shoulder bags, jewelry, etc. I have eliminated this by creating the half lanyard. Clip them to:
- shirt collars
- shirt pockets
- wader straps
- wader pockets
- belt loops
- PFD
Traditional lanyards have tools fastened to the lanyard which limits movement. The half lanyard contains badge retractors which allow you pull the tool from the lanyard to the item you are handling. Be it nippers to line or hemostat to hook or fish. Simply let go and the tool returns to the lanyard. No more lost nippers or hemostats.

All half lanyards come standard with two retractors for attaching nippers and hemostats, large and small snap swivels, and a dragonfly charm.

Suggested swivel attachments for quick detachment and use: magnet, knot tool, folding scissors, strike indicator (thingamabober), piece of a shammy, lip balm cap.
